Because of the way traditional cardboard cartons are designed they fully contact the ground when they are put down. This results in a single seam interface with the ground and no relief point to pick up from.
Due to the unique beveled design of the base of the "EASY TAKE" carton, the contact point at the bottom of the carton doesn't form a single seam, leaving to inset points with which people can easily grip and secure the box.
