DETECTO is a search and rescue device to aid rescue workers in saving human lives trapped under earthquake rubble. It is portable and can move through small cracks to reach the victim. The device itself is 10cm x 10cm x 10cm in dimension and houses an IR camera, flash, mic, speaker, direction sensor and barometric pressure sensor. It is 2-wheeled which are driven by high torque BLDC motors. Its form is self-correcting in nature that makes it return to its stable orientation.
