UP-DOWN / Sitting furniture

UP-DOWN
UP-DOWN

UP-DOWN is a free-forming furniture that allows user to sit comfortably, in any posture. The concept is inspired by inFORM Technology, developed by MIT media labs. It aims to revolutionise the concept of furniture within small, closed environments, where space is a precious commodity.
The core idea behind this concept is allowing for better management of space. In a room, a large amount of space is occupied by bulky, inflexible furniture, that not only adds to the clutter of a room, but is also hard to arrange. UP-DOWN aims at solving this issue by using a modular unit, to replace traditional furniture.
