The aim of the project was to modify the waiting area of a restaurant, well known for its traditional Gujarati cuisine and for providing a unique experience of its heritage and culture.

The customers sitting under the installation would get a feel of the Kite Festival celebrated in the region. The artwork on the textile installation was customised and hand-printed to create the perspective view of a sky full of kites - just as it is during the festival.

In the process of bringing the entire concept together, I worked closely with craftsmen dealing with hand block-printing and tent-making with the aim of preserving and promote their skills
