Memory of Barkhor Street / religion and culture

Memory of Barkhor Street
Memory of Barkhor Street

In my memory of Tibet, the most difficult to describe was her sunlight. The Barkhor Street, surrounds the Jokhang Temple, the world’s Buddism cultural centre. Every morning, faithful Buddism believers come here from home, and walk along Barkhor Street Clockwise, chanting scriptures and praying.
This territory once praised as “Spiritual homeland without being polluted by secular matters” is being invaded by exterior cultures.
This video clip uses Tibetan people walking along the Barkhor Street and praying as its main story line, with the contract between prayer flags (one of the Tibetan Buddism symbols ) and Secular world Symbols.
