The algae sea harvester addresses an environmental problem by using algae biomass as a future natural resource. By removing abundance growth of algae, nutrients and toxins in the water are reduced, spread of anoxic sediments is prevented, reproduction of fish improves and the tourism industry will also benefit. The algae can then be used for e.g. biofuel production, fertilizers and health care products. The algae harvester is designed to fit into the marine environment, to be a part of the ecosystem, rather than just being applied to it. Hydrogen fuelcell-technology creates a quiet and zero emission solution for marine environments.

A well executed solution to harvest goodness from the nature, which could bring great benefits to both humans and the environment.
Jury Statement
Thank you for this award! It's super fun to achieve something like this =) I challenge all the companies to think of environmental impacts when designing new products.
