GD1_Dräger / Portable Gas Detector

Portable Gas Detector - GD1
Gas detection instruments are used in order to detect certain gases and to warn the worker of possible risk in time.
In my master thesis I developed the design concept for the mobile, compact and very robust gas detector GD1 in cooperation with the company Dräger. Due to the very small and easily exchangeable sensor inside the product, up to three gases can be detected. The user is warned by an optical and acoustic signal and by vibration. The small and ergonomically formed warning device can be attached easily to the worker´s clothing by a magnetic fastener and does not handicap the user.
