Neo-Confucians, who were one of the most influential Korean traditional philosophers, believed that all human beings are naturally good-hearted. The philosophers supposed that people's good minds are usually veiled. We portrayed the idea of those good minds spreading out from one's heart. The natural ink spreading represents this philosophical idea of Neo-Confucianism; furthermore, it also reflects Korean traditional calligraphic techniques. The overall arrangement of each pieces shows visual interpretation of both traditional Korean art and Neo-Confucian philosophy
