Freund / Wearable Technology

Freund
Freund

Freund is a wearable technological device that aims to dampen wrist tremors
felt by young onset Parkinson’s sufferers between the ages of 20 and 40 years. It incorporates programmed technology and a linear damping mechanism built into a wristband and skin-like glove. The involuntary oscillatory movement that occurs during a tremor is countered by the linear motion of the electromagnets housed within the wristband. This creates resistance, suppressing both kinetic and resting tremors right at the core.
Worn during social activities and functions,it could diminish social embarrassment and other emotional troubles usually faced by these patients
