Maria do Socorro Barros / Phoenix Collection

Maria do Socorro Barros
Maria do Socorro Barros

The Phoenix Collection was born from the need to transform cardboard tubes, once discarded just for the recycling industry, in a sustainable product. As a Design Student and also co-responsible for the life in our planet, I developed chairs and stools made from these cardboard tubes found in scraps, turning a waste material that previously had little use in an ergonomic, aesthetic, comfortable, and safe product. An artifact that contributes to create a more sustainable environment, with low production cost, socially integrated with the new rules on housing and using environmentally responsible materials and ideas.
