TOUGHNESS / bamboo glass

TOUGHNESS
TOUGHNESS

'Cherish wood as gold' is a Chinese traditional philosophy for saving rhe materials. It means every material should not be wasted -- even the cheapest such as wood or plastic. The idea never goes out of date. And in such an energy-consuming society we are living today, this ancient wisdom has a significant meaning for our environment.
TOUGHNESS -- the bamboo glasses are inspired by the resource-saving philosophy. The frame is made by only a single piece of bamboo material. Cut it from the center, then put the lenses into the cut. Using the elasticity of bamb, the lenses can be clamped in the frame.
