I got my inspiration for this item as there are many dressboys, but no dressgirls on the market today. By interviewing numerous women I learned how a dressgirl should be created to suit a modern woman´s wardrobe. A dressgirl is slightly longer than a standard dressboy. It should have a place for the dress, handbag, jewelry, jacket, trousers and shoes.
I designed and created this concept because I believe that a dressgirl is a relevant concept in contemporary society. It questions our norms and our perception of design. It is my goal for this product to stimulate discussion around the topic, design is politics.
