When Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, many people could not find a temporary shelter to keep out the cold. It became a matter of life-or-death.On the other hand, cities in Japan are full of plastic umbrellas that are sold everywhere in town for only 3 dollars each. Because of its cheap price and high availability,no less than 130 million plastic umbrellas are consumed per year. So we suggest to build temporary shelters made of plastic umbrellas.Even after an disaster when people could not get enough materials, there are still full of plastic umbrellas in the cities. Therefore it will be possible to gather umbrellas and make shelters quickly.
