It is quite difficult for paralyzed patients to drink water or take medicine in bed. It is very likely that liquid will leak out from the mouth or the patient can be choked by water. Water or liquid medicine is contained in the thin film which is made from particular eatable material. This kind of material will only melt when it is with salivary amylase. When this product is put into the mouth, the outside thin film will be immediately melted. Then, the patient can easily drink water or take liquid medicine.
