New habitat for bees / Beehive

New habitat for bees

Bee populations continue to decline as a result of a broken industrial agricultural system, which mainly consists of large monoculture plantations and intensively uses chemicals. During my research process I found that the urban environment is actually better for bees than the countryside. In cities, no toxins are used to protect plants and there is constantly a variety of plants and trees blooming between spring and autumn. Therefore I built an organised structure suitable for a balcony, garden or a roof terrace. It provides space for one or two beehives and an additional drawer to stow away the working equipment.
