Donence / Tile

Today, ceramic tiles are not only used in bathroom and kitchen but also widely used in airports, restaurants and public areas. Considering the widespread use of tiles, design language should be innovative; otherwise we might have errors in perception in terms of semantics and semiotics. In Ankara, Capital of Turkey, some street artists put a urinal on underpass because they think it looks like a toilet with tiles. We have visual codes and it is hard to get through them. This work is an experimental design study to see what can be achieved in a nontraditional perspective with form and 3rd dimension.
