LOKALEKT / vending machine

Today’s consumerism underlies a static change towards Internet shopping and “on the go purchases”, and inner cities are loosing their identity and character because small, local retailers cannot keep up.
The vending machine concept “LOKALEKT” is a platform in which those retailers can present their store, their collection and of course sell products. It is located conveniently for the shopper, creating a new way of discovering local products and shops, and representing the cities’ unique market culture. The design of the machine and interface is discreet, so that it can be integrated in the cityscape and let shops unfold their own identity.
