Urban Oz would be the functional light of the future, intended for street lighting in the urban space. The light uses 'shape memory alloy', Nitinol which has pseudo-elastic properties that enable it to bend and return to its original shape as temperature changes. During daytime, when the sun is out the light pole remains straight in its original position. But as the temperature goes down, the pole bends. This design aims at transforming the ordinary street lamps into living sculptures.
