Scala / snake skin substitute

Scala

Python skin is returning to trend and encourages consumers to buy it not knowing real price: illegal trade and unethical use in production, which is detrimental for the environment.
Project “Scala” was born out of the idea of making a social statement to fashion consumers. By bringing together - design, innovation and technology it wants to create a conceptual textile alternative for python skin products.
By inspiration of snake skin scale - impressive textile design was created; the surface of the textile varies depending on body-movement: it extends and relaxes creating uncommon scale pulsation waves similar the motion of a snake-skin.
