If the amount of water is too much, it will dilute the medicinal tea and when consumed, the cells will take in more water, thus increasing the workload of our stomach. This would also result in lengthening the time taken for the medicine to be effective. If the water amount is too little, the medicine would not be able to disslove fully, thus affecting the medicine's effectiveness. This will aggravate the intestinal tract thus rendering the medicine ineffective.
