Petal Plate was designed specifically for the aging society. It has an irregular pentagon shape, which can be stood vertically on one edge for draining on metal surfaces thanks to the embedding of magnets in each side. This could also allow the dinnerware to be stood up for storage in a cupboard fitted with a metal plate without a dish rack. The straight edges also allow the plates to be clustered more neatly and compactly on the table. Easier gripping is another benefit of the thickened edges. The petal shape design brings Zen's mood - “rosy” and “peaceful”- to household environment for the aged.
