HAL / Armchair

HAL
HAL

The project’s starting point was observing and learning some techniques used in contemporary art, especially in the sculpture field. The idea was to adapt their interesting constructive methods and apply them on an object with industrial manufacturing feasibility - in this case, an armchair. Its shape has been highly influenced by the delicate and rational choice of angles and elements used in contemporary architecture projects. The choice of carbon steel and the evident rough and unfinished welding points were part of the elements used not only to emphasize the ‘industrial’ identity of the armchair.
