I designed a new form of a rocking chair which provides a different experience from the pre-existing ones.
Magnets are placed inside the chair and the repulsive force between the magnets act as non-visible legs, making the seat appear as if it is floating in the air.
The magnetic force allows the person sitting on the piece to get the impression
that he or she is sitting on top of gentle waves.
In contrast with the soft movement given by the chair, the piece has a simple but sharp and icy appearance formed from geometric shapes.
