As urbanization increases, urbanites must adapt to smaller living situations that lack conveniences – often a dishwasher. Carousel, a counter-top dishwasher, has a teardrop shape that addresses the appliance needs of these users: space, sanitation, and storage. The rounded front allows for a roll in door so the amount of consumed counter space remains the same whether the door is open or closed. The form enables dishes to be loaded on a rotating dish rack; eliminating the need to reach past dirty dishes. Finally, a curved front, allows for the water hose to snap around the base when not in use – preventing leakage and space consumption.
