The korean food culture offers various side dishes such as fish, vegetables, sea food and meat, which are eaten together with rice. For this you need a lot of small plates or large plates. Inspired by the korean 'JOGAKBO', a collection of side plates was designed. The JOGAKBO' is a traditional Korean blanket cloth, which wraps up objects and food, in order to give away the good fortune. Based on the patterns of JOGAKBO I have folded several paper forms that lead to the final design of the side plate.
