Tiago Cardoso / Bicycle Parking Lisboa

Tiago Cardoso
Tiago Cardoso

The main idea behind the product is to make parking infrastructures accessible to everyone. This means that both user-owned bicycles and bicycles of a share scheme (included in the system) are targeted. The most relevant features of the infrastructures are having an integrated lock, an incorporated alarm and making electric charging available – which are all possible assuming there is a managing entity.
Another relevant aspect of the design of the parking infrastructures is that it is based on the idea that car parking spaces should be gradually replaced by spaces for bicycle parking – as a way to avoid taking more space of the city.
