Up to 80% of all children in Germany have a postural disturbance, which can evolve into scoliosis during puberty. The complex and sometimes painful treatment strains the affected children massively.

The FED method (Fixation, Elongation, Derotation) corrects scoliotic spinal deformity by interval-like pressure and release phases and thereby shortens the duration of conservative treatment methods.

Based on this method a therapy device concept was developed that responds to ergonomic and psychological needs of the patient. A feedback system motivates the patient for an active participation by pointing out his success at a patient display.
