BARK Public Area Seating

- Inspired by the geometrical aesthetics in the biology of trees.

The design is intended to honour nature’s ingenuity and
implement a place for meetings between people.

The bark of the tree, and how it follows the tree upwards, is represented in the outward facing seating area and is well suited for visitors to get some sun.
The inside of the tree, with its year rings, have inspired the inwards facing seating area, which is more suited for
general socializing.

Successful meetings need some measure of
spontaneity; this is provided by the inclusive design which gives a choice of interaction.
