AirWash / automatic plane wash

AirWash is an automatic plane washing machine. Eight robots run on a special rail system in a hangar. At first they spray a cleaning agent onto the plane´s surface,
using a nozzle. After that the robots move along the plane again with a brush to remove cleaning agent and dirt.
The rail system is sufficiently dimensioned to suit the largest types of aircrafts (Airbus A380, Boeing 747-8).
At the moment planes are cleaned by hand, because existing cleaning systems sometimes damage the plane. Therefore AirWash´s robot´s motion sequences are preprogrammed for every type of aircraft, which is why the planes can not be damaged by collision.
