Discipline: Professional Concept

Discipline: Professional Concept

By connecting game-changing technologies from Google and Philips to IntelliVue patient monitoring solutions, Philips has simulated the first proof of concept for the seamless transfer of patient vital signs into Google Glass. This could create a whole new way for doctors to quickly get the information they need when they need it most. Our proof of concept, collaborated upon with Accenture, demonstrates how clinicians can benefit from hands-free, voice-controlled access to critical data while in the operating room or on the go in the hospital.

With this product, doctors would be able to immediately gain access to possibly life-saving patient data during an emergency or surgery without any time loss. A cooperation between Google Glass and Philips, the concept’s technologically most innovative aspects are truly fascinating. With this project, a completely new area is being tapped into which forces the pace of development within medicine: this project really does have relevance.
