Porcelain used to be collected and admired by only the wealthy and therefore has always been a symbol of fame and wealth. Delicate and fragile, porcelain is non-recyclable once it breaks during production. Bamboo, on the other hand, is raw and rustic and widely used to produce a variety of household goods. It communicates a notion of nature’s toughness and durability. Combining the two materials with the traditional bamboo weaving technique, the once broken vases are repaired and transformed into new objects. Every single one of them is a unique design.

I'm not sure where the broken porcelain comes from but the final objects are elegant and aesthetically appealing combining traditional craft techniques and re-appropriation with the material qualities of the ceramic. Simply very appealing objects.
