The latest forks are made with alloy, feature only 2 blades that combine creating a crown, and cover the steerer with only one welding path in the middle. This technique shortens the time of the procedure. Besides, the 2 sides are in perfect symmetry, so it saves time and is much lighter than traditional alloy forks, about 460 – 700 g (depends on the disc mount). Typical alloys' stress point is usually placed on the weld point, but LF pattern by placing the weld point in the middle and the stress is distributed equally between forks. It prevents from loosing bonding areas associated with carbon forks and the breaking caused by high temperature.
