Food Radiation Scanner / Food Radiation Scanner

Food Radiation Scanner
Food Radiation Scanner

Many of us take the safety of our food supply for granted. The nuclear incident in Fukushima showed how quickly that can change. To this day one fifth of Japanese consumers hesitate to buy food products from Fukushima prefecture because of radiation fears.

Food Radiation Scanner reimagines the scary Geiger counter as a friendly countertop appliance for consumers and restaurants. Handheld Geiger counters need to be moved in a consistent pattern to ensure an accurate reading. Food Radiation Scanner embeds the sensor in a rotating arm that allows for quicker and more accurate results.
