WHY ISRAEL / Travel Journal

WHY ISRAEL
WHY ISRAEL

How do you get to know a country, where the conflict is the culture? As an foreigner I wanted to understand and experience Israel as well as Palestine. My aim was to capture my impressions on those two countries. And to do so, I took a meaningful picture everyday and added a diary entry on the back of the photo. One page is one day. So overtime I had created 140 DIN A5 cards and foldable posters. The 140 cards are packed in a wooden box. It is made of 25 different kinds of wood from all over the world, which means to reflect the diversity of Israel and its culture. In this case the box changes from a print medium to an object.
