seaburial+

sea burial+ is a sea burial system that consist of +urn, a water soluble urn that spins while sinking, and a virtual columbarium that exist in the form of a mobile application. By spinning while sinking, +urn is able to maintain its downwards trajectory, allowing the user to record the sea burial location via a mobile application. After entering the particulars of the deceased, the information is stored in a "virtual niche" within a virtual columbarium. The objective of this project is to offer a different experience of sea burial by integrating technology and design into the taboo topic of death.
