UWB-RS1 is using Ultra-wideband, a high-bandwidth radio technology capable of sending large amounts of data over shorter distances. Ultra-wideband was tried during the 9/11-rescue operations and has been proven to pick up extremely small movements such as heartbeats and breathing if tuned to the right frequency. it is capable of penetrating most building materials such as glass, wood and bricks, making it ideal for everyday rescue operations as well as larger crash sites.
