Majority of the cities have large number of homeless cats and dogs wandering around the streets. Some of them would be dying of hunger, whereas others might be trapped in the trashcan when searching for food inside. In order to resolve this issue efficiently, our design aims to transform leftover into benefit for homeless animals. We plan to reserve an open space at the bottom of public trashcans, so that people can leave food for animals there and throwing other waste into the upper part of the trashcan regularly. The small opening at the bottom and the push-tray design create space for homeless animals to eat.
