Shop signs are seen on the streets of every country in the world, including Taiwan, but people don’t realize that these signs can be very energy consuming. Let’s say a shop sign needs 300W/hr of power to run, and 300W * 8 hours * 30 days =7200W/1000W/H. That’s 720kW per month of power consumption.
This is something that we often overlook, and not many people have thought about making energy efficient shop signs.
The Green Shop Sign is designed to harvest wind and solar energy to power the signs, and the excessive power can be used by the shops.
