Many assistive technologies for the blind has been developed by ordinary people who hardly think about the influence of good body posture of the blind. Since the lack of visual clues, the blind struggle to stay good posture to walk independently with proper training.
As no way to indicate crooked shoulders, Blinds easily have inadequate posture which hinder straight walking. REPOSE, a body posture indicator, helps the blind recognize their balance through feedback composed of vibration and sound.
Two gyro sensors gather angular data from shoulders then bone conduction vibrator generates haptic and auditory feedback if it’s good or bad.
