Bamboo Pencils / pencil made from waste

Bamboo Pencils

Bamboo Pencils is a series of pencils which are made from the skins of fruits and vegetable waste in tropical areas, where all the wood resource for pencils are coming from. Deforestation in these tropical areas is getting more serious because of heavy export dependence as a main industry. Bamboo pencils is an enlightenment tool for kids to educate the situation. Rich colors of pencils are made from the common fruits in these countries such as melon. By seeing, smelling and touching, kids get to know how the pencils are made. The slightly curved shape of the pencil is made by bio-plastic nature of starch, which is also 100 % natural material.
