Snuglife / Redefining motherhood

Snuglife
Snuglife

1/3 of 20 million babies born preterm/low birth weight and die within first 12 hours of delivery cause of infection and hypothermia. Incubators are conventional way to counter this problem but has many drawback. Another way to deal with hypothermia is Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) prescribed by WHO. Snuglife is an assistive wearable product which facilitates KMC. It’s a low-cost, reusable product, inspired from kangaroo pouches & female brassiere. It allows the infant to have skin-skin care and breast feeding whenever required without stopping KMC. It increases mother child bonding, convenience to mothers & motivates them to perform KMC.
