According to the medical research, the cotton swab can be inserted into the ear from the auricular part for 2.5 ~ 3.5 cm.
The common cotton swab is a small straight stick, so it is difficult to control the inserted length of cotton swab into the ear. Eardrum may be destroyed and even deafness may occur during the cleaning of ears.
Two projections are designed on the 3.5 cm position away from both ends of the cotton swab to remind the user that it is the maximum length allowed by the ear. Therefore, it can effectively protect the user’s ears.
