Primeat / Raw meat printer

Primeat

With Jaques Fresco’s Venus Project as a scenario, “prepare and preserve” as a theme and the 2012 Electrolux Design Lab rules as a guide, I designed this raw meat printer.

Its form was taken from a fork by Arne Jacobsen. It was chosen because of the expression “fork in the road”, which reminds us of the importance of our decision in using this product as a species: should we go on building progress traps, making us increasingly dependable on new technologies, or should we encourage the own cooking of one’s meal and other cultural habits that were determinant to our evolution until now and are being left aside for the benefit of our comfort?
