The concept and the design of our light decorations come from bamboo Kakehi, a bamboo-made water pipe. In the past, the Orients used bamboo Kakehis to transport the mountain spring to every household. After the water has reached to a certain amount, the bucket will topple over and make a sound, reminding people of the time. We borrow this principle and substitute water for light. As the beam of light shines into the Kakehi over time, the Kakehi tilts and ultimately pours the light out and makes a sound to inform us of the time. Through such design, when we see the Kakehi “transporting” the light, we can feel the dynamic movement of the time.
