armolo / musical instrument

armolo
armolo

The Armolo is an innovative musical instrument offering an expressive approach to music creation and performance.
Each “finger” is a hybrid combination of a metal tine and a guitar string. The string is anchored at a determined point along the vibrating part of the tine, and tuned to the same pitch. The tines are also used to actively stretch or loosen the string for playing different notes, or “whammy” sounds.
Wearing an Armolo, the musician becomes a performer, free to move around and interact with the show. Attached to the arm, the instrument encourages outgoing interaction with the audience, showing its own personality on stage.
