A setting is made for a stone. But what happens if there is not any stone inside but the ring itself is the setting?
The ring INTO the WILD plays with the beholder‘s viewing habits and expectations. Characteristic traits like shape, material, texture and the form get more and more important. The inner part of a ring would never have such a big importance if the setting was filled with a stone. The ring constitutes a breach with the familiar ‒ it bothers, raises questions and creates interest.
