Working at home creates an ambivalent atmosphere. Paperwork, pens and office supplies are a reminder of work which has not yet been done. The chaos needs to be cleaned up at the end of the day to create room to relax. The table is the centre of the flat. It is used for working, eating and socialising. The combination of a latex cover and a hand vacuum conserves the state of affairs. Forms and colours are transformed into abstract patterns. Soft contours between the objects create exciting three-dimensional shapes, with surprising aesthetic qualities, day in, day out. A ritual, designed to consciously finish work and hang it up for the day.
