"Orthostruct" emergency orthosis is developed for use in cases of lesion-induced immobilisation and of post-operative recovery of human wrist. This functional orthopedic device forms a temporary tensional unit with the human body, therefore it is necessary to adapt it as far as possible to the patient's individual needs. Orthostruct can be used especially in developing countries and crisis areas, therefore it can be produced fast and absolutely cost efficiently. Characteristics such as weight reduction, usability and design efficiency are considered as possible and therefore are given a special emphasis in this innovative product development.
