It’s often difficult for people to open thin bags (such as plastic bags), especially for senior citizens.
“Kai” is a device to open thin bags quickly, easily and nondestructively. It’s made of flexible wood board. Its shape is designed to save material during production. It looks like a meditator sitting cross-legged. There are adhesive parts affixed to its palms. Those parts can contact the two sides of a bag and separate them.
In the East, people believe that putting palms together can help you find peace of mind, and give others good wishes. The name “Kai” is a Chinese character, which not only means “to open”, but also means “to awaken”.
