My way. Material study... / Pine needles

My way. Material study...
My way. Material study...

The theoretical part of my master thesis considers a design historical important theme: Textile design at Burg Giebichenstein (University of Art and Design). I compare strategies of design, teaching and practical experiences during 1915 until 2013. The basic assumption of my thesis is „the own way“, therefore the subtitle: I did it my way!
In analogy to the subtitle I follow my own way by examining pine needles as a possible raw material for diverse applications (e. g. veneer, wall-coverings). In a next step I want to achieve the extraction of pine needle fibres to produce threads/yarns and create textiles (e. g. woven, knitted fabrics).
